UWI cities support the environmental wellbeing of its residents, workers, and visitors by reserving 45% of land area for infrastructure and green areas distributing natural green spaces and water bodies for increased accessibility, and providing multi-modal mass transit systems and non-car networks.
Furthermore, UWI cities also support environmental wellbeing by installing energy efficient smart systems, and incentivizing green building initiatives and leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification for building development and operations.
