Since joining the team in 2004, Mr. Sanghavi has overseen UWI’s finance and operations including: budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities and related policies. In this role, he develops UWI’s annual operational strategic financial plans, policies and procedures and control framework.
Mr. Sanghavi has over 20 years of experience in the finance industry. As one of UWI’s first team members, he was instrumental in establishing its corporate governance procedures and managing relationships with financial institutions and its governmental partners. Prior to UWI, Mr. Sanghavi served as the Manager of Finance for the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer in its initial years of operation and contributed to developing its financial department and financial exchange, as well as several of the DIFC’s real estate offerings and investments. Early in his career, Mr. Sanghavi worked at Ernst & Young, providing business assurance services and risk assessments for multi-national companies in industries, including: banking, trading, manufacturing and services.
